• The Indian workforce is around 40 % of its 1 Billion + population
  
  
• Of these 400 Million, who are employed, only around 30 Million are in the Organized Sector. This result in – 370 Million workforces do not get “employee benefits” & Govt. does not get Taxes, PF, ESI etc. from those in the unorganized.
  
  
• A survey finds that reforms to the Indian Contract Labor Act could create an additional 12 million temp jobs in 5 years.
  
  
• The present Indian Temp Staffing Industry is around 0.5 Billion US $ or around Rs. 2000 Cr. The US Temp Staffing Industry is around US $ 75 Billion – 150 times more than India.
  
  
• Temporary staffing was responsible for 50% of the reduction in unemployment in the U.S. in the 1990s - Study by: Harvard & Princeton University
