Diploma in Recruitment Practice & Management (DRPM) is a six month diploma course providing professional training in recruitment management both in the classroom and through on-the-job training. This course focuses on the current methods of applicant search, screening and the steps in the selection process that conform to industry requirements. Emphasis is placed on how to align the recruitment and selection functions with the overall business strategy of the firm. Students in this course will learn how to perform job analysis and develop job descriptions and job postings. Scientifically sound measures of performance used in assessment, selection and decision-making will also be examined. Particular concentration is on structured interview techniques with students designing effective situational and behaviour-description interview questions with scoring guides, and conducting interviews through role play. Practical applications of all material are assimilated through extensive use of cases and experiential exercises. This Diploma equips recruiters with the detailed knowledge of the whole recruitment process & management to enable them to act in a true consultancy capacity.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

- Critically evaluate the recruitment and selection practices being used by organizations.
- Contribute to the improvement of an organization’s recruitment and selection practices.
- Evaluate the procedures for recruiting and selecting employees, taking into account constraints imposed by the organization and legislation.
- Devise plans to search for and obtain applicants through traditional and new venues.
- Develop strategies for the process of screening and selecting candidates.
- Utilize interviewing techniques confidently & effectively.
- Assess the usefulness of the various testing methods used in the selection process.
- Plan a reference/employment check procedure.
- Present work that meets the standards, ethics and practices of the recruitment industry.

Upon completion students find employment in HR department of companies and, recruitment firms. Upon completion students could also become independent recruiters or consultants.

Bachelor’s degree in any stream. Proficiency in English language.

Total Six months. Three months each semester including one month cooperative placement (in each semester) with a recruitment firm.

Each semester has four modules. Each module has 12 contact hours of classroom training and one month (200 Hours) of paid co-operative placement (field training) with a recruitment firm. Course requires total 500 hours (100 Classroom hours+400 field hours). Details are available upon request.

Each Semester: Classes (two lectures of 3 hours each) will be held on Saturday and/or Sunday at designated ERA Centers (Local Business Schools) for two months (8 weeks) and thereafter one month on the job training.

Teaching methods in this course are interactive and require class input and involvement. The course will include lectures, collaborative work, role play, online learning and independent study.
