Mr. D Ashok
EVP, Siemens

D Ashok is currently an Executive Vice President, Siemens Information Systems Ltd. Before joining SISL, he was the CEO of Gossamer Solutions, an IT and Management Consulting firm and a Guest Faculty at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in the area of Quantitative Methods & Information Systems. Immediately before this, he was a Partner in the Business Consulting Services of IBM Global Services, Bangalore and during his tenure led their CRM & Supply Chain Management practices and the Manufacturing & CPG Verticals . Prior to the merger with IBM, he was the Office Managing Partner, PwC - Bangalore .

He has a B.Tech from IIT, Madras and an MBA from IIM, Bangalore . Ashok (or Dash as he is popularly known) worked in Tata Burroughs Limited (TBL) and thereafter in A F Ferguson & Company in Bombay and Bangalore . He started the erstwhile Coopers & Lybrand Pvt Ltd's (C&L) Bangalore office and the national IT practice, till its merger with Price Waterhouse in January 1999.

He has over 26 years of experience in Management and IT consultancy covering areas such as IT strategy, Enterprise Applications (including ERP, CRM, SCM and Portals), BPR, Software development and Facilitation / Training, Business Continuity Planning and large Systems Integration projects. He has handled vertical industry segments like Manufacturing, CPG and Government. His work has been for public and private sector companies engaged in the manufacturing, banking and financial services, Retail and other service sectors.

He has been rated as an outstanding speaker and has been invited to be a key-note speaker at numerous seminars and discussions organised by diverse bodies as also to lead panel discussions. He has also published papers and articles in journals, magazines and newspapers. His CRM articles were published under the banner of “Dash Board” in the CIO magazine . He has been interviewed many times by TV channels.

Dash has been invited to deliver lectures by various Management Institutes, and has been on the Advisory Board of BAAN Institute, Hyderabad, ICFAI, Bangalore and Centre for Financial Management, Bangalore. He is a trustee in “Green Foundation” and “IIM Bangalore Alumnus Trust”. He was part of the Jury to decide on CIOL's annual CIO award, 2004. He figures in Gibralter's Who's Who of International consultants - 1998.

Dr. Pradip Dutta
CEO, Synopsys India

Dr. Pradip K. Dutta is the President & Managing Director of Synopsys (India) Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Synopsys Inc., headquartered in Mountain View, California, a world leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software. His primary focus is to increase Synopsys India's R & D activity in EDA tool development in Verification, Implementation, Intellectual Property and Design for Manufacturing. Dr. Dutta has overseen the growth of the company from a little over 50 employees operating from one small office in Bangalore to more than 500 highly skilled employee base spread across three locations in India namely Bangalore, Hyderabad and Noida.

Prior to joining Synopsys, Dr. Dutta started his career in the field of automotive electronics with General Motors in USA and held a variety of positions in engineering, business development, sales & marketing, and portfolio management both in USA and in the Asian-Pacific region, building strong business links with automotive OEMs in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China. During this time, he had the opportunity to work on General Motors' first Electric Vehicle program (IMPACT), opened the first Sales & Marketing office of Delco Electronics Division (subsidiary of GM) in India and transferred state-of-the-art fabrication technology from Hitachi, Japan to Delco Electronics, USA.

Dr. Dutta repatriated to India in 2000 after spending two decades overseas on work and higher studies. He has earned his B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from IIT Kharagpur followed by MS and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA for which he received a research fellowship grant from National Institute of Standards and Technology, Dept. of Commerce (US Govt.).

Mr. Vijay Anand
VP, Oracle

Vijay Anand is a Vice President in the Server Technologies Division at Oracle Corporation here in Bangalore, India.  At Oracle, Vijay is responsible for leading the Fusion Middleware R&D organization in India.

Earlier, Vijay was Vice President and Managing Director for Sun Microsystems India Engineering Center (IEC).  Under Vijay's tenure, IEC has become Sun's largest R&D center outside the US.  Today, nearly 900 engineers work on diversified technologies and products for Software, Systems, Storage and Services. Such growth has brought with it a maturing in IEC's charter to include ownership of key products and components, customer focused activities in support of local and regional sales teams, leadership initiatives to drive cross site interaction and teaming, as well as partnership and developer activities within India.  India is a fast growing economy for IT and related services and Vijay's responsibility includes leveraging the IEC's presence in India to drive more of this market opportunity for Sun Microsystems.

Vijay has over 17 years of experience in the IT industry including stints at NetDynamics, iPlanet (Sun/Netscape alliance), Transarc Corporation and IBM Corporation.  Previously, Vijay Anand was Senior Director responsible for the iPlanet Ecommerce Products including Market Maker. Vijay came to Sun with the 1998 acquisition of NetDynamics, one of the pioneers in the Application Server market where he was responsible for Product Engineering.  He holds a US patent for this work.

Mr. Pranesh Anthapur
COO, Yahoo R & D

Pranesh recently moved to Bangalore from Sunnyvale and brings with him rich experience in talent acquisition, talent development and cross border general management experience.

Pranesh is a 7 year Yahoo! veteran and has held several key positions in Human Resources, both in the US and International arena. Prior to moving to Bangalore , he was VP of HR for International HR and HR M&A in Sunnyvale .

Before joining Yahoo!, Pranesh worked in India and other parts of Asia in companies like GE Medical Systems, VeriFone and HP, focusing on areas like talent and integration.

Pranesh, in his new role will provide direction to all the operational areas of the center including investment and expansion of facilities, business planning and processes, budgets and approval processes. He will also be assisting the office with talent acquisition and building a strong brand for Yahoo! through PR and corporate communications.

Pranesh holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Masters Degree in Management, from India .

Mr. Joydeep Bose
Director Strategic Programs, Intel

Mr. Joydeep Bose is the Director of Strategy and New Business Development at Intel South Asia.

Before this assignment Joydeep headed Intel Capital strategic investment for emerging technologies in South Asia and has lead successful investments and served as a board member for companies.

Prior to joining Intel, Joydeep spent 5 years at AT&T Asia Pacific in several roles including Country Director for its Solutions business, responsible for India and Singapore As the head for AT&T, he was responsible for system integration revenue business for banking, retail and government verticals.

Joydeep also spent 7 years in Singapore where he was the Program head for the Infrastructure Group of the National Information Infrastructure Division (NIID) at National Computer Board (now IDA), Singapore under Singapore's IT2000 ( IT for the masses ) master plan and SingTel.

Joydeep started his career in Research & Development at India 's first telecom switching company CDOT as a principal member of the Core team and as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard USA and India before that. Joydeep has twenty one years of experience in sales, business development, growth strategy for business, new strategic initiatives and Services/consulting across the Asia Pacific. Joydeep has a Bachelors in Computer Engineering. He has completed a Management Program at AT&T New Jersey.

Nirmala Kamath currently heads the Interactive Television Services Group at Tata Sky – a fast growing Direct To Home, Satellite Television provider in India. Her experience spans across the Information technology & Media Industries, with stints at Wipro ( last assignment being Principal Consultant E-security Practice ) & Star Television ( last assignment being senior Vice President – Interactive Services ). Nirmala Menon is a HR professional with over 20 years of experience in diverse functions across HR as a corporate employee and as a consultant, both in India and the United States She has worked in organisations in the public and private sector with employee strength ranging from 12 to over 40,000 in various industries. Prior to Interweave, Nirmala was the Diversity and Employee Relations leader for IBM in India where she gained specific experience in the area of diversity training and management. Her five-year stint in IBM gave her opportunities to work on and facilitate workshops in several locations including most countries in APAC, Ireland, Canada, Mexico and the United States . Nirmala Menon is a graduate of XLRI in India, and has an additional Masters in Human Resource Administration from Temple University in Philadelphia, USA.

Mythily Ramesh is the Vice President – Customer Acquisition in the BPO business of Wipro.

Mythily has been with Wipro for 17 years. This is her first job and further testament to the culture that Wipro has fostered over the years. She has donned several roles in her long career including driving The Six Sigma initiative as a Black Belt in Wipro a few years back and heading a start up – 01markets – in Wipro.

In the current role Mythily is responsible for Customer acquisition for the Wipro BPO division as well as building the transaction processing practice.

Mythily holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science) from the Anna University, Chennai and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
