Times of uncertainty and tumultuous change have stretched traditional leadership and managerial models beyond capacity. A new kind of leader is needed, one who can respond creatively and effectively in the midst of change and step beyond conventional approaches to planning and strategy. This leader is comfortable with complexity and looks for opportunities to partner with individuals and groups to address organizational and societal issues.

In organizations, our success as leaders is measured by the degree to which we’ve mastered the external environment and delivered results in the form of revenues, profits, new product breakthroughs, cost savings, or market share increases.

External results, of course, are important. But trying to define leadership by its external manifestations misses the core question: What is the essence of leadership—the foundation that underlies external success and achievement?

The external and strategic focus will help the project to assimilate new concepts and practices by encouraging the participants at all levels to grapple with ways to implement the essence of these new approaches to skill formation while taking into account their own circumstances.

The Theme :

The workshop will be based around the following issues:

• Self-reflection and personal mastery
• Skilful conversation with self and conflict resolution
• Effective team action

Program design:

• Subgroups of varying sizes, will support one another in their learning
• The seminar leader will provide one-on-one coaching to a few participants in follow-up activity in the evening as well as post program activity to support them in setting goals for their reflection.

• Pravat Mahapatra who has been the lead trainer for Maersk Shipping, Talent Management Program on HRP in Dubai, is a multicultural consulting professional, professional trainer and educator with demonstrated experience in client settings having worked in France, Italy, Dubai, Oman and in India. And has the distinction of training more than 15,000 executives and students. Besides Maersk he had worked for / had consulting assignment with MBA Center in Paris, Bahwan Cybertek in Muscat, Knowledge Horizon in Dubai and Satyam, NALCO, MCIL.NTPC, ORTEL, IMFA in India and several others.
